Priest
Fr. Justin Slaughter Doty
Fr. Justin Slaughter Doty was appointed as the priest and pastor of the Saint Euphemia Orthodox Chapel in 2022 by Bishop John of Worcester and New England. Fr. Justin comes from a mixed religious upbringing and is a convert to Holy Orthodoxy. After converting to Christianity he began his spiritual journey in a traditional New England Congregationalist setting in the Puritan tradition. After discovering the patristic fathers he went through a period of time in both the Roman catholic and Anglican communions. During his time at an Anglican seminary, where he was training to become a clergyman, he discovered the Orthodox faith and resigned his placement at seminary to convert to Holy Orthodoxy. Bishop John of Worcester and New England gave his blessing for Fr. Justin to resume seminary studies at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, Massachusetts. After completing seminary he served as a cantor and pastoral assistant in the Antiochian Archdiocese of Great Britain & Ireland in the parishes of All Saints of Lincolnshire and Saint Aethelhard Orthodox Church in Louth, Lincolnshire.

After returning the United States he was ordained to the diaconate by Bishop John at St. George Orthodox Church in Danbury, CT and then to the Priesthood at Saint Mary's Antiochian Cathedral in Manhattan by the now retired Metropolitan Joseph. He was sent to Wenatchee, Washington to serve as Assistant Priest at Three Holy Hierarchs Orthodox Church and was then sent home to New England to oversee the Saint Euphemia Mission.

Fr. Justin is married to Presbytera Christine and together they have three children: Heloise, Ælphage, and Odilia. Presbytera Christine is an iconographer and painter.

Subdeacon David
Subdeacon David Koubek--a native of the coast of Maine and of the greater Damariscotta area--is a husband, father, translator, farmer and bread baker.
He discovered the Orthodox Church during his studies at university and converted at a young age. During his time at university, he studied multiple languages to fluency and spent time living in Kazakhstan and Russia to perfect his knowledge of Kazakh, Russian and Church Slavonic, before returning to Maine.

Through his travels and association with St. Herman of Alaska Monastery in Platina, California, he was able to take on the ministry of translating the text, Elder Sebastian of Optina into English which remains in print to this day. He is married to Jessica and has five children.

Reader Nikita
Reader Nikita is a native of the Mid-Coast of Maine and grew up in the Rockland area. Though raised in a Russian Old Believer household, he converted to the Orthodox Church in his early adult years and went to Holy Trinity Seminary in Jordanville (NY) to study hymnography and theology. Reader Nikita holds numerous degrees and certifications in musicology, hymnography and chant. He spent time studying and living in the monastic community of Jordanville and also at the Valamo Monastery in Finland, where he pursued further advanced study. He is fluent in Znamenny Chant, Church Slavonic, Russian, and Finnish. He is presently studying towards fluency in Byzantine Chant.
